Well our time here in Oz is almost at an end and we leave tomorrow at 11.00am for the475nm  passage to Kupang on West Timor, Indonesia.

We had completed all preparations and filled the boat with goodies that we cannot get until Singapore when Murphy’s law kicked in at the last minute.

Having checked everything, changed oils, filters, etc we locked out of the marina yesterday so I recommissioned the water maker only to find that one of the copper HP pipes had corroded around the connection.

Today is a holiday here and tomorrow is Saturday with all specialists shut. So I have made a tempororary fix and it will have to keep until we get to Kupang where, I am told, “they can fix anything”, we’ll see.

Just in case you think we may die from thirst, don’t worry, we have over a 1,000 litres of fresh water in the water tank and another 100 litres carried for emergencies. If that runs out then we have enough beer, wine and fruit juice to get us back to the UK!

We will try and keep up the daily blog with position reports, download our e mails every day from the mailasail  e mail address and also have the iridium satphone as backup.

Sunrise over the Fannie Bay anchorage with 1 day before the off.
