The first 36 hours have given us some pretty boisterous upwind sailing in
25kts to 35kts winds in gusty, squally conditions, with 4 to 5m swells
driven up the Tasman Sea from a big southern Ocean storm
Around nightfall the winds began to back around to the west, then south and
we are now bowling along at 9kts in 20kts SSEasterlies. The 2nd 24 hours saw
us cover 185nm towards our destination
As the seas have settled so have stomachs and we are now beginning to eat
better.
All are well on board and beginning to enjoy the passage.
