The last 24 hours has given us the best and worst of sailing. We had a great
run yesterday with the big cruising chute pulling us along at up to 10 knots
but when darkness came the winds became really flukey with horrible cross
seas making life on board very difficult and preparing the evening meal
something of a challenge.
Under these conditions it is almost impossible to do anything on board and
increasingly frustrating trying to get a sail configuration that will cope
with the conditions. Speeds have dropped to 5 or 6 knots but the boat
continues to roll around in the big swells and cross seas.
Weather really not what was expected, cloudy and grey and chilly at night.
Still all well on board, if a little tired.
