Distance to Destination 545nm
Distance covered (36 hours) 290nm
Current heading 235 Degrees True
Rhumb line course 235 Degrees True
Sail configuration Motoring through the ITCZ

The first 24 hours gave us some great sailing with every sail configuration
used to get the best out of the winds.
We had headed south to avoid the worst of the ITCZ but unfortunately at
6.00pm local time last night we eventually ran out of wind and had to pull
down the big chute and turn on the engine. We are now motoring down our
Rhumb line in the hope that later today we will find the southerly winds
that will take us to the Galapagos Islands.
Our fishing efforts so far have been unsuccessful with all three bites
eventually getting away before we could land them. Lots of Dolphins and a
couple of large Marlin spotted so far. All aboard are fit and well but with
no wind it's going to be a very hot day.
