A difficult night yesterday with a lot of wind and sea, we were motoring into much of it to get to the start point for crossing the gulf stream when the wind and swell had abated. Glad to say, the forecasts were right and we are now well into the gulf stream headed north and expect to be through it and off Hatteras by late evening. One more night on passage, which promises to be a lot calmer, and then tomorrow up to the Chesapeake and a calm mooring or anchorage. We look forward to it! The last couple of days have been quite tough!
