A good first 24 hours--covered 180 miles, and we should be anchored in the Tuamotus day after tomorrow. We are heading for an atoll called Makemo--a fairly large atoll roughly in the middle of the chain.
We've had a wind of between 14 and 18 knots pushing us along on a broad reach since we left the Matquesas 26 hours ago--with only one squall--last night--up to 25 knots of wind. Seas are a bit bumpy, but not too bad.
So all well on Simanderal
