Well, I had expected to be writing this blog at sea today--as we didn't expect to get into Coffs until late afternoon---but we had a storming fast sail up from Port Stephens --a 165 mile passage--and arrived this morning rather than evening. The dreaded adverse current that is normal did not materialise--indeed if anything the current was with us. And with 20 knots of wind on our starboard quarter we faily flew along.

So our first overnight passage of the year--bit tiring, but a good sail, albeit the night was quite cold--or at least colder than we are used to!
And the weather in Coffs today is miserable --raining, cool--not a hint of sun even. We must continue north towards the equator!!!

We had a good 4 days in Port Stephens--2 at anchor and 2 in the most expensive marina I've come across--barring, perhaps, the Solent!  Had a swim in the sea--still nice temperature--and the sun shone.

Plan to stay here in Coffs for a few days before we continue north. Hope it dries up as we have some chores to deal with.
