One of the problems of using a weather window after
a period of strong winds is--too little wind! For our first 20 hours we had a
beautiful sailing wind, but that disappeared yesterday, and we had to motor for
a good part of the day and overnight in light winds. However this morning the
wind was fair again for some good fast sailing--so that's what we're
doing.
We should reach the
half way mark in the next couple of hours--perhaps we'll celebrate that and the
new year--which I brought in on watch, with Ger asleep--we exchanged greetings
at 0100 when the watch changed!
So all well here--hope the celebrations in the UK
didn't leave too many sore heads.
