The winds are still fresh and forecast to be so
until we arrive in St Lucia--so we're romping along at 7+ knots with a reefed
main to starboard on a preventer and poled out reefed genoa to port. At night we
just sail under genoa--conservative old geezers as we are.The swell makes it a
roly-poly ride but we're in good spirits and looking forward to terra
firma in 2 or 3 days.
No rain last night and no bad squalls--the first
dry night for some time. Fishing since dawn--but no catch yet. Yesterdays dorado
was delicious.
It begins to look likely we'll arrive St Lucia in
the dark--Thursday night/Friday morning. Pity--it would have been nice to
arrive in daylight--ho hum.
Lovely sunny hot day. Overdressed in swimming
trunks.
