The Fatu Hive anchorage is awesome!! Glad we
detoured there for 24 hours before heading up to Nuku Hiva--which we are now
doing and will be there at first light tomorrow.
Challenging walk to a waterfall this
morning-- good exercise after many days at sea.
Yesterday we had lunch ashore with a local
family--sort of paying guests but great value and delicious wahoo
ceviche
Everything is an exchange--a bottle of wine buys a
lot!! eg more fruit than you can carry!!
Beautiful sailing weather today--good wind,
moderate sea, blue sky..................and the dramatic backdrop of Fatu Hiva
falling astern.
