We continue our progress down the French coast. The weather is a mixed
bag--though nothing like as bad as it appears to be in the UK.
The last couple of days were great sailing weather--some sunshine, no rain
and 15 knots of wind on the beam. So a fast passage on Saturday from
Pornic--our last port in Brittany--to Ile d'Yeu--a lovely island and a
well organised marina. We arrived before lunch so time for a good look
around. Wondered about staying another day, but gales etc in forecast so
decided we should head on before them. So another fine sail to Sables
d'Ollone where currently we are sitting out some pretty strong winds and
rain--time for the launderette!!
