Another brief update

Michael flew back to Phuket on 16 September, to have the remaining work done at the haul-out yard at Boat Lagoon.
The joinery work around the A/C is now complete, as is our nice, new teak cockpit table ---solid teak rather than the
Malo veneer!!
The upholstery went for cleaning. The canvas work was completed---nice new bimini and sprayhood, and an awning for
forward of the mast. All looking good.
The old antifoul was scraped off---first time in 8 years---and 2+ new coats put on.
AIS transmit has been fitted, new batteries on order, as is a new watermaker which will run off 24 volt.
So a lot going on!
Simanderal splashed on 7 October---not without excitement, as some jubilee clips had not been tightened after the new
cutlass bearing had been fitted, so we had a stream of water coming in! They lifted us back out and held us until we got
it fixed, then splashed again and all was well.
So now Simanderal is in Yacht Haven----servicing of engine and generator is in train, as is servicing of the winches. The washing machine
is back on board, having been repaired---just as well as the quote for a new one was >>>>>XXX!!!!!
Ger flies out in a couple of days and once we get the sails bent on and the final bits of servicing done we hope to go for a sail!
‘Bout time!
