After PSV we spent a couple of days in Clifton, Union Island. Met "Doc" again who served us dinner in the Anchorage and caught up on news--even bumped into Majella from Canouan--went over with a boat boy for lunch on Palm Island  and a beer on Happy Island--a man-made island on the reef at Clifton, basically a bar run by a friendly and talkative Rasta.
And on 8 May we cleared out of St V/Grenadines and sailed the short hop to Carriacou--part of Grenada. We anchored in Tyrell Bay for a couple of days before the longer sail to Grenada itself on 10 May--sailed fast down the windward side of Grenada and round to the Phare Bleu marina for a few days--hired a car to get around, serviced both the engine and generator for laying up, and generally chilled..
Which brings us to the 14th, when we sailed overnight to Trinidad--leaving Grenada around 1700 and arriving in Trini--Chaguaramas Bay-- around 0700 on 15th. Quite a fast passage, with rough seas for the first several hours, so not much sleep. After mooring in the Coral Cove marina, we started the pre-haul-out chores--even got the genoa off--before sleep took over, and we retired to bed about 1800 and slept for 13 hours! Feel much better today, but it's all work for the next couple of weeks as we lay the boat up before we return to UK on 1 June.
The end of the 2008/2009 cruise--2000 miles logged, 150 engine hours, 130 generator hours--it seems a long time since we were in the Dominican Republic and Cuba!
