Nearly 6 months since our last blog!!! I guess since very little sailing has been done since March.

After our sail to the Burmese border, Surin and Similan islands, towards the end of March we flew to Brisbane to see
Michael’s first grand-daughter, Tilly. We all spent a lovely week in Noosa—Emma’s family were all there as well—and
then a week in Brisbane, before Michael flew back to Phuket and Ger to Canberra and then London for more consultant
meetings and tests.

In the middle of April, Michael’s sister Pat came out to Phuket and we had a short cruise around the islands.
And then it was time for some work on the boat. A rigging check, a new gantry and solar panels and—wait for it---install
of air conditioning. And in between work, Michael popped up to Chiang Mai to spend a few days with his son, Eric.

Mid may Michael flew back to Malta, joined by Ger.

Early June, a visit to Aviemore to see Michael’s second grand-daughter Maisie.

We were back in Phuket early July and on 11th, Simanderal was hauled out at Boat Lagoon for some repair & maintenance
work. New cutlass bearing, antifouling and cleaning, some electronics work including AIS transmit, new canvas and some
joinery work.

Right now back in Malta, and heading to UK tomorrow to see Andrew, Emma and Tilly who have flown over from Brisbane, and a quick
trip to Scotland to see the family there.
