Up at 0515 this morning to ensure we exited over the bar of the Clarence River at the right time--and for a longish day sail down the coast to Coffs harbour--about 60 miles.
Cloudy day, but at least it stayed dry. The wind a bit temperamental--coming and going--so a mixture of super fast sailing and slatting sails followed by engine starting--however we sailed well over half of it in the end and arrived Coffs about 1600.
Now moored up in the (very crowded) marina--probably spend a few days here, though the northerlies continue, so at some point we'll be keen to move on south. In the meantime we'll explore Coffs tomorrow--the book suggests it's a nice place to visit.
