I’m mainly using instagram (for Ally) and facebook as it is so easy to use and a lot of our friends to seem to use it. email svandromeda44 {CHANGE TO AT} gmail {DOT} com if interested We really are enjoying some relaxing time. Finally! Most of the other boats from the Rally left a while ago, but it’s still very nice. There are two other yachts, enough not to feel lonely. And then all those lovely people ashore, locals and expats alike. If just the wind would stop. Unfortunately it’s offshore and gusty and no place to rigg up somewhat safely and easily. Everyone ashore is super nice. Went to a Christian local wedding last Friday, with a girl we met dancing in Kupang! Was quite fun. The weekly market is also great. And we got invited by an English teacher to visit a school. Kerry and I went the 30k by scooter and had lots of fun and also did an excursion to a lovely lookout with him. Michael took his stitches out a few days ago. His finger is healing very well, and he went surfing the first time yesterday! Yay! So happy that it’s going well. I also went out twice so far, and got some waves on my bodyboard. We had a few days without waves. And if just the wind would stop… Unfortunately I caught a cold, have I sore throat and have been feeling rather weak the last three days. Hopefully I’ll be back to normal again tomorrow, to enjoy the festivities of Independence Day! Sounds like it will be quite some fun. Very excited that I found a seamstress is short, but could so the cockpit cushion covers and throw with the fabric I have bought in Australia. Turned out super nice. It was quite a lengthy but fun challenge to communicate. Google translate turns out to be almost invaluable! Loving it! Sent from my iPhone |
