After 195 hours at Sea: Galapagos, we're here!
23.3.2013, 19:45

We were almost exactly 8 nights and 8 days at sea, and approached San Cristobal during a gorgeous sunset, arriving to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno just with the last evening night.
Galapagos, we're here, we made it!

On the way, just 12 miles before destination, our fisherman finally got lucky, we had a good sized yellow fin tuna on the hook. Big excitement and many happy faces.
So we celebrated our first big trip with Sashimi and Champagne and enjoyed a relaxed night in the quiet port.

Now it's Sunday, and we just spent 1 and a half hours with the authorities. Port Captain, Environmental Office, Park Authority and Galapagos Municipality, all needed to see and ask and fill out their forms. Michael already had a little snorkel swim this morning and saw an octopus, a sea lion, some hog fish, and parrot fish amongst others - and the water has some surprising 79 degrees! Much better than the Perlas.
So, off to explore the Galapagos!
