On each return visit to Germany we also try to pick a new country or destination to explore. In November we headed to Spain and picked Barcelona. Good timing as the weather in Germany, which had been unseasonably warm and beautiful, was just starting to turn rainy and cold.

I’ve never been to Spain so I was really keen to go and looked forward to practicing and improving my Spanish. We spent five days in Barcelona and then traveled up the Costa Brava. What a beautiful city and coastline! We found most hotels already closed for the season so we used the AirBnB to find a variety of good to amazing accommodations. We look forward to going back and spending more time exploring this wonderful country
