Las Flores, El Salvador

We had some lovely days at Las Flores Bay. Surf wasn’t really high but we had still fun in the waves. Great practice for Iris on the Boogie board. After pulling in, we received a very warm welcome from Chepe. He’s one of the guys who helped us when we were here in June and flipped over they dingy.

Got a lot of boat projects done, generator works pretty well now. Water maker boost pump is having trouble, but works for now. Solar panels are not making as much amps as they should, will have to investigate that. Had great internet via a SIM card to update blog and get other business done. But time to move on now, off to Nicaragua!

Chepe brought his daughters Vanessa and Michelle for a photo shooting.

Francisco is amazed by the height of the mast. And even though being a catamaran, Andromeda doesn’t roll too much, it’s still a bit wiggely on board for Isaiah.

The beautiful coast line around Las Flores

Great to be on the ocean again. So stunning the tranquility

View from anchorage of San Juan del Gozo.

Close up of the beautiful volcano in the evening light.

PS:At Costa del Sol, they collect turtles eggs (they pay 2.50$ for each 15 eggs), hatch them and then release these 1 day old into the water.

Beach of Costa del Sol. Quite some surf the tiny turtles have to make it through. Apparently, only 1 in a 1000 makes it to the reproducing age of 10 – 12 years.
