It was a bit of a flog heading into wind to Levithia,
but we made it in time and there were still buoys left. We had a lovely meal at
the farm there and met some very nice fellow cruisers.
the next day was relatively easy with very little wind.
We decided to stop in a new little harbour at Koufonisia.; nice quiet
place.
The next morning we set off into strong winds, which
gradually subsided, so we made good progress. We had decided to get some miles
under the keel and carry on through the night. Not a good move... the winds
increased and did not come around, so we battled into wind all night and made
slow progress (got very wet too..), but by lunch time we dropped anchor in the
bay at Korfos. There are still strong gusts, but the anchor is good, so time to
relax.
Tomorrow we'll do the last nine miles to the Corinth
Canal.
