Sea Topaz is still on the hard at Pangkor marina, but she is looking a lot better now than two months ago. Decks have been painted, companion way varnished, lazarette de-rusted and painted and a whole host of other things have been done. Duncan is now attacking the last area of rust; this is under the floorboards in the galley and goes under the shower. He has had to remove dozens of hoses to get to it.
We decided to take a break for a few days and went to the Cameron Highlands. We have been here for three days and very much enjoyed the cool weather. We visited a tea plantation and a strawberry farm, played 9 holes of golf on three days and had excellent food. We are staying in a guesthouse that used to be a boarding school, very interesting. Today we go back to Pangkor and back to boat maintenance.
