A lovely place to be on your 34th wedding
anniversary. (If Duncan's mother had not sent us an email to congratulate us we
would have forgotten).
After light winds the firsts few days of our
passage, the winds did pick up. We had 37 knots during the fourth night with big
waves. Not a lot of fun. We had to slow down so that we did not arrive at San
Blas during the night.
We arrived at around 11 this morning. The weather
is overcast so we do not see it at its best, but it was worth coming here. It is
stunning, plenty of snorkeling options, if only we had more time. I am sorting
out provisioning for 8 months in the Pacific and Duncan is servicing the
winches.... cruising is working on your boat in nice places...
Curacao was great with family and our friends on
Scorch (shame they delayed going through the canal by a year), but we have other
friends to meet up with at the Panama Canal and then on to the
Galapagos.
