We have moved on again. We really enjoyed Banda. We did a very informative tour on one of the islands, Duncan went up the volcano (the worst mountain walk he has ever done) and we went snorkeling. We also had a very social time with all the boats parked close together along the village quay. We left Banda on Friday morning and had a slow sail to the Wakatobi Islands. The information we had was not very clear, we did not really know where we were going. After some emails and conversations on the radio with boats ahead of us we changed course and ended up in Hoga Island. We were the first ones in and guided other boats to a small anchorage here. The anchoring is difficult in these islands as there is either very deep water or reefs; not many places of reasonable depth with sand on the bottom. But we enjoy it here, the snorkeling is just fantastic and there is a nice long beach to walk on. We have had a number of canoes visiting us, selling fish, crabs and lobster/crayfish. We'll enjoy the peace and quiet for another day and then move to the next island.
