We finally got to the top end of the Red Sea. We choose a longish weather window, which worked out well this time. We had a lovely trip with flat seas and very little wind. So we made good time. We were stopped on the way by a military boat; they asked for our papers.
We left Hurghada marina on Monday morning and got here at the Suez Canal Yacht Club at 17.00 hrs yesterday afternoon. We are tied up to a plastic floating dock, which is not ideal, but it works. Great spot for watching ships come through the Canal.
Washed all the red desert dust off the boat again and did some washing, got more fuel again and are now relaxing and waiting until we get permission to go through the Canal. Somebody came to measure us this morning, so we are hoping for tomorrow.
