After four days and nights at sea we arrived at
Chesterfield Reef. Really weird to suddenly be in 30 meters in the middle of the
ocean and no sight of land, reefs or change of colour in the water. But with all
the modern technology we have on board we carried on and found five other boats
at anchor in the anchorage we were aiming for. We are is turquoise blue water
behind some very small islands. The wind is quite strong and the water a bit
choppy, but the views are stunning. The islands seem to be highly populated with
birds.
It was lovely to have a shower and rinse/wash the
clothes that got soaked with salt water on the way. The winds look good for the
final three day leg, so we will probably move on tomorrow after an (hopefully)
uninterrupted night's sleep. Shame though, we could have quite happily stayed
here for a week.
