It took us about 4 hours to get from Port Blair to Havelock Island and arrived in paradise. It is just beautiful, with white sand beach and clear blue water, but funny enough no palm trees; big trees with leaves instead. We went for a walk along the beach and watched the Indians having fun in the water, most of them fully dressed. We then found we had a young police officer running after us. It turned out we should have reported to him with passport and boat details... We promised we would go back to him tomorrow. The resorts are not at all as we expected; it is all very basic. It is so nice to be able to swim again and not have to worry about jelly fish. We'll spend two nights here and then move on.
