We lifted anchor shortly after first light to get
to our next anchorage before the sea breezes picked up to try and avoid banging
into the waves and wind. We nearly hit the reefs after lifting the anchor; we
were a bit careless and the tide was very low. But no harm done. We got to table
islands around 11 o'clock. It was windy and choppy where we intended to anchor.
Look elsewhere, but that was no good at all, so went back to the first place. It
turned out not too bad and once the sea breeze had died down it was fine and we
took the dinghy ashore to explore yet another beach and find our way through the
bush. The plan is to leave early in the morning for our last stretch north and
go to Landfall Island. We have just seen the odd fishing boat but no more yachts
for a while.
