We were sorry to leave Togean Dive Resort at
Kataput, but after we looked at how many days it would take us to get back to
Malaysia we realised we have to move on. So we left early yesterday, went back
to Wakai to get some fresh food and hoped for an internet connection (Wakai is
the only place with a mobile phone tower), but that was a waste of time. We then
went to a small atoll where we were told a yacht has anchored before. We managed
to find it and get inside, but did not manage to anchor. We could not find a big
enough sandy patch to drop the anchor it, tried but failed. Time was running out
to find an alternative before the light was too bad to see things. We ended up
in this position. A lovely big bay, quiet shallow, but well protected and good
holding. A few fishermen came to talk to us and one had some very small lobster
which we declined.
A quiet night. Now on to Bomba for a few
days.
