Today we are anchored of a small island with
emerald blue water around it. It is quite windy, but the holding is good. This
is just an overnight stop on our way to Baubau, South Sulawesi from the Banggai
islands.
We had an uneventful 24 hrs trip, not much in the
way of traffic on the water at all. Although the wind was on the nose it was not
too strong and no big waves. We arrived yesterday in the Buton channel. We
anchored early afternoon in strong winds, but the holding was good and the wind
died later in the afternoon so we had a quiet night. We left very early this
morning to catch the tide and stopped in this anchorage at around midday.
Tomorrow we'll try and catch the tide go get to Baubau, where we hope to get
fuel and some provisions. One of Raymond's men has already contacted us by
phone, so we will be well looked after.
