48 hours of motorsailing took us to Danga Bay in Johor
Bahru. We had some massive rainstorms with thunder and lightning, but apart from
getting wet we got there in one piece. The tide was very low, but we managed to
scrape in with 20 cm under the keel.
This is the place for the official start of the East
Malaysia Rally. We had a wonderful dinner (with some speeches) and spectacular
dance performances. We also stocked up with more food and cash, ready for some
more sailing in remote places. Duncan checked us out of Malaysia and we filled
up with fuel.
Tomorrow we go back into Raffles Marina, Singapore
(having stopped for the night in Puteri Harbour to collect some mail), to meet
the Kohler engineer to sort out the generator and to pick up our friends Ant and
Hatty.
