Today started early with heavy rain. Then no wind, so we motored all day. The sea was like a mirror most of the way. Just off Mayaguana we saw four sperm whales just resting at the surface (logging) we stayed around for a while to watch them, but they did not move much. A bit later on we saw some dophins about a mile away and a big black fish leap out of the water about two miles away, it was bigger than a dolphin so suspect it was another whale. Later in the afternoon we caught a baracuda which we let go as they are not safe to eat in these waters due to ciguatera.
We arrived at Plana Cays at around 3.30 and snorkeled around a coral head where we saw a big sting ray. So all in all plenty of wild life for one day.
We hope for a quiet night and will leave for Long Island later in the day tomorrow to sail overnight as it is too far to do in one day.
