We are now tied up alongside a wall in the "not yet finished" marina in Rhodes. Again we motored all the way; there was wind, but it was on the nose..!
It is very pleasant here, we have been here for four days now. It took almost 24 hours to check in!
We have had a good look around the old town and visited the museum. We also had a good look at Mandraki Harbour where many yachts go when they visit Rhodes. But seeing how busy it is we were glad to be in the marina even though it is a 20 min walk into town. Today we hired a car and drove around the island seeing some of the places along the coast and inland. Lindos was the highlight: a very pretty white village near a perfect bay with impressive ruins on top of a hill. In the middle of the island are some wineries so we ended up doing some wine tasting as well.
Tomorrow we'll walk back into town to get Greek sim cards, which we failed to do sofar. Then we'll leave for the island of Simi.
