We have had a good trip so far with some good
sailing. The weather has generally been very good apart from one dark night with
hours of rain and very poor visibility, so we slowed right down.
On day five, late afternoon we met the Queen Mary
II; a cruise ship. We knew our friends Tim and Maggie were on board so we called
the captain on the VHF and asked him to pass a message on to them, which he duly
did as Tim and Maggie then emailed us. Small world.
Now off Sri Lanka with lots of shipping in both
directions, but with a beautiful night and our new AIS we could easily seen
them.
We will not stop in Sri Lanka, but carry straight
on to Uligamu, North Maldives where we will meet up with two other
boats.
