We have been back in Boat Lagoon for several weeks now
to continue the good work on Sea Topaz.
The sand blasting and repainting has now all been done
and we carry on with the maintenance jobs and finishing off the big jobs we had
done. We did have a few small holes in the hull which were cut out and then
re-welded.
Unfortunately, just after his birthday, Duncan got
dengue fever. This is really quite horrible and comes with all sorts of other
problems including hepatitis A and B, a rash, muscle pain, etc. He ended up
spending four days in hospital and is now slowly recovering, which will take a
long time, we were told. So more delays. We just have to make sure he takes it
easy, which is a challenge.
But Sea Topaz is looking better all the time and we
will go back onto the water one day. Just not this year.
So we had a bit of a non-Christmas.
