Questionable Logic and crew arrived safely in Kauehi, it was fantastic to see Ewan again. Since then we have spent a lot of time talking and catching up. Unfortunately the weather was not that great and because it was weekend they could not visit the pearl farm. But the good news is that we all managed to buy some pearls!  We also did a bit of snorkeling and they saw their first sharks. On Sunday we went back across the lagoon after untangling the anchor chain off the coral heads (we had had wind from all directions) and anchored near the pass with the view to snorkel the pass, but the weather was wet and windy and we were on a lee shore so we decided to do the 30 or so miles to Fakarava overnight. We got to the pass at Fakarava at first light, we found the best conditions we have seen yet in a pass so we entered the lagoon and anchored off the village. We were looking forward to eating onshore, but after a lot of effort only managed to find pizza take-away, which we very much enjoyed. Yesterday we visited a pearl farm run by a German gentleman, we learned more yet again (this time it was all in English). And we bought some jewellery with black pearls.
This morning Duncan, Ewan and Jemima went diving in the pass. Duncan has been looking forward to dive with his son.
This afternoon we will move to an anchorage a few miles down the atoll outside a resort where we hope to get internet and a meal in a restaurant.
