"The hole in the wall" is a narrow entrance into an
anchorage surrounded by mangroves and cliffs, a beautiful setting to spend a few
nights in.
We took the dinghy to explore the creeks into the
mangroves, which go on for miles and you can get very lost in. We spotted some
wildlife, which included small humpback dolphins, monitor lizards and monkeys,
as well as many different big birds. There are some floating restaurants
connected to fish farms, where we enjoyed two nice meals.
The peace and quiet was badly disturbed by many tripper
boats, but late afternoon and early morning were blissfull.
Here we met another sailing yacht belonging to a member
of the Army Sailing Association, the second one in a week in nine years of
sailing.
