Until early this morning we were going along nicely with gentle wind and seas and the sun shining, but things changed early this morning. First came the rain and then the wind, with the stronger wind the state of the sea changed as well. The result is a more uncomfortable ride and we get wet in the cockpit, with either heavy rain or waves popping over the side.
This has been the situation most of the day, we had hoped it would be short lived. But we'll see, we are making good progress in the right direction. We made radio contact with a few boats we met in Galapagos and who are going in the same direction. It is nice to know there is somebody else out there even you don't see anybody for days on end.
We caught two juvenile mahi-mahi on Saturday, so we have had carpaccio and cheviche. When the weather is gentler we will try fishing again.
