We are back in the USA after two very busy months in UK. We worked on houses and Ewan’s boat. Visited friends and family and had a great holiday with the children in Wales (in spite of the rain).

We had a few days on the boat and bought a van to travel around the States.

Our first trip was to Maine to visit a colleague I used to work with in Ghana. It was great to see Christine and to meet Michael. We also went to see Burt and Joan who we met in Deltaville. We were very well looked after and ate plenty of Maine lobster.

We went to the Acadia National Park where we stayed in a Campsite and slept in the van. We hiked to the top of Mount Cadillac. From there it was up into the White Mountains where we stayed in the Highland Center. We hiked for more than 8 hours, admired the views and enjoyed being in the forests.

We met up with Mart, my brother and his friends, who were travelling by motorbike for a week. This was in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, (as in the song “Alice’s Restaurant”). Our last visit was to Niagara Falls. This is a very touristy attraction, but was worth the detour. We got wet, but were very impressed.

After a long day driving we got back to Sea Topaz and it is now time to get on with some jobs.
