The days anchored inside the outer reef in Moorea
went all too quickly. We went swimming with rays with Paula and Steven from
Long White Cloud. Stefan and Duncan went diving again. Stefan and Jael
enjoyed the sun and the beach. Both boats were boarded by customs officials, all
five of them, to check for alcohol and weapons. Questionable Logic left
the anchorage for Tahiti the day before us and we followed on the 9th July. We
motored all the way. It was exciting to get to Tahiti. After checking with
immigration we explored Papeete. The crew of Questionable Logic, Jemima
and Tuck, left for home and work. Ewan is looking for crew to get him to
Sydney, so if you know of anyone who wants a fast trip from Tahiti to Sydney,
let us know. We hired a car for a few days and explored the island. On Saturday
evening we had tickets for a dancing and chanting show. This week is festival
week because of the 14th July. The dancing was amazing, the costumes were
stunning. On Sunday we visited a famous surfing side Teahupoo, there was not
much going on and it rained, that was a bit disappointing. Stefan and Jael fly
home this evening, so that leaves the three of us with two boats and lots of
jobs and shopping to get on with. We will be here for a few days
yet.
