Our legally allowed time of 20 days in the
Galapagos has come to an end. We lifted anchor on Friday afternoon (we have
never had the anchor down in one place for so long) and were on our way. Quite a
long way out we came across a group of about 6 sea lions who were going from one
island to another. Nice farewell to the Galapagos. Apart from one fishing
trawler last night we have not seen anything else. We motored the first night,
but have managed to sail since 7 yesterday morning. Gentle sailing with gentle
seas, apart from the squalls yesterday when we got very wet, but we were doing 8
kts for a while.
We still have a long way to
go.
