Denise (our youngest daughter) joined us from New Zealand on April 19th; arriving at 02.00 hrs in the morning!!
We had some productive days in Boat Lagoon Marina, seeing contractors with the view of having work done on the boat later in the year.
Denise met up with a friend who works for Princess in the marina and in the afternoon we went to Surin Beach to do some swimming. In the evening we went to the Raya Restaurant in Old Phuket town.
Sunday morning we went to Kata Beach looking for surf. There wasn't any so we had breakfast instead.
By one o'clock we were on our way out of the marina with a pilot again to make sure we did not go aground. We enjoyed the rest of the day anchored off Rang Yai Island. We had a pleasant walk on the island and took some take-a-way Thai food back to the boat for supper.
The next day we motored to Koh Dam (Chickenhead Island) where we snorkeled and explored in the dinghy. Then yesterday we moved to Railey Beach where the climbers come on holiday. We had an excellent lunch on shore and watched some of the climbing competition that was taking place. Late afternoon we were told to vacate the mooring we had pick up so we moved to another bay around the corner. Denise and I went ashore to explore a cave and came across a large umber of monkeys. The scenery here is just amazing.
Denise and Duncan have gone off for the mooring to go climbing; it is very hot and no wind so I hope they enjoy it and drink lots of water.
