Yes!! We are finally on our way. We are a
good 180 miles away from Bundaberg. We had an excellent overnight sail to Great
Keppel, we decided not to stop and carry on because of the shift in wind. We
motor sailed most of yesterday to get to Pearl Bay before daylight. The days are
still short and it is quite cold.
We kept busy during our week in the water. Put the
sails up, got rid of the TV and put a bread maker in its space. Finished work on
the generator and sorted out a problem on the dials panel of the engine. We sold
the car, did not get much for it and then did lots of provisioning and cooking
and baking. Denis (our old time friend from Malawi) was with us during that
week, but unfortunately he was not well, so he went to Canberra. He hopes to
join us again later.
We will make our way north to Darwin.
