We have moved on along the Cays. From
Black Point Settlement we went to a bay off Bitter Guana Cay, where we
spent the night all by ourselves. Stefan and Marlous explored and came accross
some iguanas on land and sting rays in the water off the beach.
Next day we went to Staniel Cay where we spent
the night at the Yacht Club. For the first time we had mosquitoes. It was a very
sticky windless night. But we had a great afternoon snorkeling
in Thunderball cave as well as on a beautiful coral reef wall.
From Staniel Cay we motorsailed to Warderick
Wells National Park. A stunning place with several snorkeling spots on coral
heads. We were lucky and joined the staff and cruisers for a hamburger bbq on
the beach to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the park.
The wind is picking up, unfortunately not from
the right direction. We have had to change plans again and not go to Eleuthera
but go north to Allan Cays and from there to Nassau.
