We arrived in Pangkor on Friday the 13th, fortunately all went well. To our surprise Rob and Mieke, our Dutch friends were there, so we got a warm welcome. We ate sate's together in the evening and brought each other up to date on what we have done since we last met in October.
Saturday we were lifted out by an amazing remote control machine. All went very smoothly and we have been working hard ever since. This year we are doing it a bit differently as it is so very hot here. We have rented a room in a hotel just across the road from the yard. We have also hired a motorbike for a few weeks to get about. Sleeping in airconditioning is bliss though. We get up early in the morning end start work at first light, then have a break in our room over lunch time and work until it gets dark at around 7. This works well. We also manage to get some social life in in the evenings with old and new friends. All in a day's work. So far the work is going well, but we rely on some outside contractors for the repair of the generator and wind-instruments, which might take a while.
