Well we finally managed to get out of Deltaville
marina/boatyard. Even after they finally put us in the water we had to wait for
a spare water pump for the refrigerating system to arrive. This was delayed a
few times. Then when we were ready to go the bow thruster would not work and we
ended up having to buy new batteries. We only bought the last lot this time last
year in Las Palmas.
But on Thursday we slipped the lines at 6.30
in the morning and had a cold and very wet trip into the waves and wind to
Norfolk. We were warmly welcomed there by Greta and Gary of the OCC just before
dark. They looked after us very well. We did some shopping and relaxing and went
up the Intra Coastal Waterway (ICW) on Saturday. Again it was wet, with thunder
and lightning and very windy. We got to a nice marina just before dark very
tired. We did all sorts of bridges, canals and even a lock.
Today we managed to sail part of the way and met up
with "Baroness" in a small marina where we are at the moment. It was cold but
did not rain. Good wind.
