Oh yes we finally managed to get out of Marmaris Yacht
marina! Not without more delays and drama's though. First of all Duncan found a
leak in the generator; we could not get a contractor to repair it for a week as
Turkey had a week's holiday for the end of Ramadan. Then when we were ready to
leave early Sunday morning (July 10) we realised that there was a problem with
the auto helm. After some checking and looking Duncan found the cause of the
problem and fixed it! Then the joker boat to help us out finally arrived, but
the line was not released quick enough and got caught in the propelleer. After
another wait a diver came and freed the prop... we were finally on our way.
We had an overnight stop on Serce Limani, where we had a
lovely cool swim and a nice meal before motoring to Datcha. We stopped here to
check out of Turkey, which we did without any
trouble,
