Yes, we are moving west again; it is nice to sail into the sunset. We had a pleasant trip from Bau Bau to Tanah Beru. We did manage to sail some to the time, which made a very nice change from motoring.
Just outside Bau Bau we saw an amazing spectacle of spinner dolphins rounding up a fish ball, there must have been more than a hundred dolphins.
Tanah Beru is famous for its boat building. They build wooden boats on the beach; boats in all shapes and seizes and all beautifully done. They build local boats as well as boats for the tourism industry. We met an English young man who was building a 25m live aboard dive boat. He invited us on board and we had a good look around; a hell of a lot of varnish work!! But so nice to see a such a solid boat made out of wood. They use many different types of wood.
Today we took the local transport to the next boat building village; Bira. We did not see much boat building there, but it was still interesting to see the harbour and they tourist trade (we saw no tourists though).
Tomorrow we go to Makassar with one overnight stop on the way.
