On Friday 21 March we left the British Virgin Islands and headed for Puerto Rico. The huge northern swell had subsided quite a bit. We did not really notice the swell until we had passed the St Thomas, US Virgin Islands. There we noticed a significant change in the colour of the water; it was like crossing a line. We went from dark blue water into bright turqoise water. It felt really strange, but other than the odd gentle swell from the north we did not notice anything else.
We arrived in Culebra at around 4 o'clock and anchored near John and Jenny on Al Shaheen.
Yesterday, Saturday, we went ashore to check in with immigration. We are now in USA territory. We had a walk around the town and did some shopping.
In the evening we had drinks on board Sea Topaz and then went out for a meal with John and Jenny.
Today we will visit Flamengo Beach on the other side of the island.
