We were sorry to leave Fakarava. The drift snorkel was fantastic, we saw lots of sharks. We had a wonderful lunch at the dive centre with a view of the shallow water just off the balcony. We saw the coral, fish and black tip sharks just there. But it was time to move on, the wind was building up. Both boats got through the pass safely. The wind and the seas were building up. Questionable Logic had some issues with spinnaker halyards and the reefs in the mainsail and Sea Topaz could not get the nr 2 Genoa to roll back in, but we all got through the pass at Rangiroa and safely anchored near the Kia Ora Hotel before dark.
Ewan, Duncan and Jemima have done another drift dive in the pass. Did not see the dolphins they had hoped to see. Stefan and Jael arrived on Sunday and enjoying the whole scene. They did there first snorkeling with sharks this morning. It is too windy to go to other places in the lagoon or to go anywhere else for now, so we will stay here for a few more days.
