Before we left the main bay we were invited on super yacht Celandine. Mairie a crew member/friend of Ewan's has been working on her for a while and the skipper very kindly invited us for a drink. We had a look around this beautiful Jongert. She is 17 years old but looks as new. The woodwork inside is stunning.
We have not been able to fill up with water here, nor have we been to the waterfall. We did go for a jungle walk, but other yachties had been to the waterfall and said that it was hard work and disappointing. We did enjoy our walk and see the lovely village at the end of this bay. We are sitting in a bay surrounded by high cliffs, it is just amazing. There is a beach at the end with a deserted house and some fruit trees. So we have stocked up on fruit again in exchange for a box of red wine and some t-shirts. We are still waiting for wind, it looks like there might be some over the weekend. The plan is to go to Ua Pou to get some water and bread; it is on the way to the Tuamotos. And then set off on Saturday.
